Vietnam’s First Luxury Tour Operator
Hanoi, Vietnam, Feb 18, 2013 – Pham Ha, CEO and founder of Luxury Travel Ltd (www.luxurytravels.asia) and his associates held high-level meetings with representatives of a large number of companies and the leading specialists of the luxury tourism industry at India’s largest business-to-business travel trade fair, OTM, which took place in Mumbai from 7-9 February and 13-15 February in New Delhi, India.
“There are many leading tour operators and travel agents who are interested in our award-winning luxury tour operations and who are looking for new luxury travel products in Vietnam and throughout Indochina. There is already a huge demand from Indian travelers despite there being no direct flights, so visitors have to transit through regional hubs such Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore to Vietnam.” said Pham Ha.
“We need support from the Vietnam Tourism Board to promote Vietnam as a new tourism destination in Southeast Asia for Indian travelers. We need a direct flight which would be a convenient bridge from India to Vietnam and attract more Indian travelers who really want to discover the charms of Vietnam by holidaying here. In the luxury segment we are seeing a demand for unique experiences. A few years ago, luxury was restricted to five-star hotels and first-class travel, but all that is changing.
Travelers are spending more on holidays and have taken a fancy to exploring the classic highlights of the country, luxury experiences, beaches, local culinary delights and shopping opportunities.”
For sophisticated travelers from India, luxury travel is about the best personalized services, starting from exclusive and isolated resorts to concierge services, as well as experiential travel, a very niche and high-end market.
“Vietnam is emerging as a new destination providing authentic and exotic experiences for Indian high-end travelers and we have won numerous new contracts and accounts both in Mumbai and New Delhi.
We are seeing particular demand for a two-centre tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. This is the first year we have attended the shows and we are proud of being the first Vietnamese tour operator venturing into this untapped market for Vietnam tourism.” Added Pham Ha
Pham Ha stressed that the Indian market is very important to the company and that it is seeking to strengthen this market with more staff and by increasing the number of private small groups that it serves. This will be primarily through tailor-made holidays via wholesalers such as Thomas Cook in India.
Culture and heritage, beautiful island and beaches, world-class wellness and spa, exotic food and unique experiences are all major attractions of Vietnam in the eyes of Indian travelers. If travelers are concerned that they wouldn’t be able to get Indian food in Vietnam, the company representatives can reassure them that major cities have a number of flourishing Indian restaurants.
For convenience, Vietnam also offers visa on arrival for Indian travelers. In the last two years, Vietnam has justifiably become one of Southeast Asia’s most fashionable destinations for high-end Indian travelers who are familiar with Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
Luxury tourism is not just about limos and five-star hotels, but creating memorable experiences and Luxury Travel ensures that its guests have Indian food and flavor and that they feel part of the place rather than a casual observer, the authentic experience being particularly popular with travelers from India
